CALL FOR PAPERS

Instructions for submission of abstracts:

Abstracts must be sent to abqtic@abqtic.com.br by November 30, 2007, marked
'c/o XVII FLAQTIC Congress Scientific and Technical Committee'.

Presentations must meet high standards of scientific or technological content as well a substantial degree of innovation. The results of work to be presented must remain unpublished until after the Congress. Presentations that advertise or deal solely with the use of proprietary products or commercial brands shall not be accepted.

Scientific and Technical subjects for lectures and posters/visual presentations (as well as others related to leather processing):

- raw materials;
- beamhouse;
- tanning;
- post-tanning;
- drying and finishing;
- machinery, equipment and related software;
- leather processing emerging technologies;
- technical specifications for leather;
- water consumption management;
- chemical product consumption management;
- production management in tanneries;
- environmental management systems;
- treatment of industrial liquid, solid and atmospheric waste;
- quality management and control;
- energy utilization management;
- occupational health and safety.

Official languages of the Congress: Spanish and Portuguese.
